Symantec Data Center Security-Server Advanced DCSSA/DCS is used to proactively secure harden its server farm infrastructure which can be in data center, on physical/virtual environment/hosted on public cloud. With this approach, customer can enable the server farm infrastructure to keep up with the business maintain its service levels, protects the environment against zero-day threats new vulnerabilities. DCS can be used to secure lockdown servers. It installs as a kernel-level driver that protects the operating system and applications from hackers trying to gain access to the system through known/unknown vulnerabilities. DCS can also be used to monitor lock down application configuration files from being changed, which could weaken the security of the application. It wraps around the applications monitors for buffer overflow attacks, and prevents the attack from using the application to gain access to the system. It support windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX etc.
