Our product Ampere Waste Management Solutions is used to collect garbage .The innovation is in the area of Garbage collection through Battery Operated vehicles that could carry a load of 400kgs with two women sitting to operate the vehicle. Key differentiators were more garbage could be collected systematically from 300 households with one ecart. Also the Bell fixed in the vehicle made people aware of the Ecart coming for collecting the waste. People in the households were parallel trained to segregate wet and dry waste, which went directly into wet / dry compartments in the designed ecart. The ladies operating the vehicle were not tried, all their requirements for drinking water through water bottles, first aid was placed in the vehicles. About 500 women were trained and the project is being scaled to further 5 blocks in Coimbatore. Most of them women are from Self-help groups. Battery vehicles are non carbon emitting and give significant savings both in capex and opex..
