Rorschach Inkblot Test is one of the most widely used projective techniques for clinical assessment used by psychologists all over the world. It is most popular amongst various systems of interpretation both at teaching institutions in Clinical Psychology and at hospitals/clinics as well as with practicing mental health professionals. There are 10 cards in Rorschach ranging from black and white to multi coloured. subjects perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analyzed using psychological interpretation, complex scientifically derived algorithms, or both. Some psychologists use this test to examine a persons personality characteristics and emotional functioning. It has been employed to detect an underlying thought disorder, especially in cases where patients are reluctant to describe their thinking processes openly.
